Things like this only happen to me...
I received a Stanford interview invite...I was so happy, I was shaking. I could barely get the words out to my family. I scheduled the interview and was 'oh so professional and prepared'. Anyway, my interviewer, Matt (fictitional name), and I agreed to meet one morning at 8 at Panera Bread. We decided to sit on the left side of the store so that we would be able to find each other easily. Fast forward to interview day. So I walk in and there's this guy sitting there with that 'waiting look'. So I walk over and ask him if his name, by chance, is Matt. He says yes, and I proceed to introduce myself and sit down. And then I realize he's looking at me a little strange... so, I ask him his last name. And it's not my interviewer's last name. So.... I think "damn"...and apologize. In any case, it crushed my nervousness, gave me something to break the ice with when the real Matt arrived, and I'm so glad. My interview turned into a pretty nice conversation and it confirmed my feelings about the school and the people that I've met who have matriculated through their MBA program. Now for the long wait ahead....
